WaterlaseMD Laser  The Art of Dentistry - www ...

No More Needles and Drills!

If you’ve been putting off a trip to the dentist due to a fear of pain or the sound of drill, we now have a solution for you.

Conner Dental Associates now offers virtually painless dentistry with our new state-of-the-art WaterlaseMD Dental Laser.

Thanks to advances in laser technology, the WaterlaseMD  gently treats cavities, gum abnormalities, ulcers, biopsies and even root canals without anesthesia.  You can also have your deep cleanings performed without the dreaded Novocaine shots!  The laser never touches the tooth so there is no friction or vibration.  The cool water keeps the tooth from heating up, which eliminates discomfort.  Most importantly, the healing time is lessened, there are no side effects, and no numbness, or needles.

“You are going to be able to get more treatment done, with less pain, and in a shorter length of time.  I am truly excited about this new technology we now have to help our patients with their dental needs.”

Oral Cancer Update - It's Not Just A Smoker's Issue

Dentists and hygienists are the best overall defense against oral cancer – they are, in fact, a lifesaver. No other medical professionals are as well positioned to address this potentially deadly disease at its earliest stage. The key is to identify oral abnormalities at their most easily treated stage of development.

Fortunately, there's a simple technology to help in the fight against oral cancer. ViziLite Plus aids in the early identification of oral abnormalities that can lead to cancer. Cleared by the FDA, ViziLite Plus allows dental professionals to offer superior care to patients. Annual ViziLite Plus exams can be integrated with existing patient services, improving patient care.

How ViziLite® Plus with TBlue630 Works

ViziLite Plus with TBlue630 is an oral lesion identification and marking system that is used as an adjunct to the conventional head and neck examination. It is comprised of a chemiluminescent light source (ViziLite) to improve the identification of lesions and a blue phenothiazine dye to mark those lesions identified by ViziLiteViziLitePlus with TBlue630 is designed to be used in a patient population at increased risk for oral cancer.

Experience Painless Injections

We know that some patients get more nervous than others at the mere sight of a needle and syringe. That's where the STA System comes in, featuring the Wand - a small lightweight handpiece that resembles a pen. The computer controlled system allows for an even-flow delivery of anesthetic in a very comfortable, non-threatening manner. It eliminates the "bee sting" effect - the painful consequence from a surge of fluid into a confined tissue area. Even more, certain injections made possible with the Wand minimize the unnecessary numbness of the tongue, cheek, and face. Imagine leaving the dentist's office without a "fat lip!"

Digital Panoramic/Cephlametric X-Ray System

With this state-of-the-art technology we are able to take lateral pictures of the skull for our Orthodontic treatment, observe wisdom teeth that are surrounded by bone for our In-House Oral Surgeon, and these pictures can be uploaded instantly into the patients file, and can be sent out electronically to obtain further diagnosis for our patients.
